KOREA (TR) – It has been revealed that the Korean police have dropped their investigation into a Japanese woman who is suspected of forcibly kissing a member of popular Korean group BTS, reports Fuji News Network (Mar. 31).
Last June, Korean police requested that the Japanese woman, aged in her 50s, turn herself in on suspicion of violating the Sexual Violence Punishment Act for hugging BTS member Jin and kissing his neck at a fan event.
Because the woman lives in Japan, Korean police dropped the investigation, saying that to continue would take a considerable amount of time.
Under Korean investigation regulations, an investigation can be dropped if a suspect remains overseas for more than two months and an investigation cannot be conducted.
A police official said, “We plan to resume the investigation as soon as the woman turns herself in.”
